Funny Stuff!
I think you people do remember the infamous tiny screenshot of Duke posted by 3DR at Gamasutra as just a graphic piece. So many guys at the 3drealms forum made their own version of funny DNF pictures. Denz came up with a very nice animated version of the screenshot with the hand moving making it look like he was shooting. It was quite impressive I have to say, but my personal thought was that it was lacking a few things. So I requested him to send me the Photoshop PSD file so I could do the modification. This is what I came up with, and trust me the result was quite satisfying to me. :P

really funny.. :P
looks like aftr effcts on a 2D bkgrnd image...if im not wrng??but nice..
Hehhe ..... technically right, procedurally wrong. :P
Base image = a static pic you can see in one of my previous posts.
Hand Movement = Simply cutout and animated by this humorous friend of mine who also did a crappy muzzle flash with a shitty smudgy look. Even worse, he never saved the cutout layers separately in a PSD, damn it.
Muzzleflash = I searched out for a 'real-life' muzzleflash pic from the net; photoshopped so everything except for that is black, and then put it as a layer in to separate locations in a layer mode of 'Screen' or something additive. Then made it visible and invisible in the gif animation based on when it should fire.
Extra lights = Took a faint brush on a new layer with yellowish white color and put a combined layer mode of 'screen' and 'color'. Again made it visible and invisible according to when it's fired.
Glass reflection = Meh .... just some sorta harsh painting (without any soft edges) with an outerglow. Nothing biggy.
Lastly I used Imageready to put up the end result. :)
